Parenting a child with special needs can bring incredible joy, but it can also feel isolating. Finding people who truly understand can be difficult — and finding time for yourself can feel even harder.

SteadyRise Counseling × Learn with Lex are bringing two rooms together for one shared experience: support for parents and connection for kids.
Parent Support Group
Join SteadyRise Counseling for a relaxed, supportive space to talk, connect, share experiences, laugh, vent, and be around other parents who get it.
This is not a lecture or a class. It is a chance to step out of the day-to-day demands of parenting and spend time with other parents who understand the experience.
It is also a time to share your story and talk about you.
You don't need a specific issue prepared, and there's no pressure to perform or have everything figured out.
Kids' Activity Room
While parents participate in the group, the Learn with Lex team will keep the kiddos engaged with social-emotional learning and activities in a nearby room.
Both experiences happen at the same time, in adjacent rooms — so no one has to choose between getting support and being there for their child.
Parents get a village.
Kids get to have fun and build skills.
Everyone gets support.
Because finding support for yourself is hard enough without also having to figure out childcare.
What to Expect
The evening will include approximately 45 minutes of guided and open conversation, followed by 15 minutes to mingle and connect with other parents while the children's activity wraps up.

There is no pressure to share, no expectation that you have everything figured out, and no requirement to turn your experience into a lesson. Come as you are.
