A note about clinical privacy

This policy describes how we handle information collected through our website. The privacy of your protected health information (PHI) as a client is governed by a separate Notice of Privacy Practices, which you will receive and acknowledge as part of your intake paperwork before beginning therapy.

Information we collect

When you contact us through our website, we may collect the information you choose to provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message. We do not require you to share any clinical or health information through the website, and we ask that you avoid doing so.

How we use it

We use the information you provide solely to respond to your inquiry, schedule a consultation, or answer your questions about our services. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing.

Service providers

We use trusted third-party providers to operate our website and email (including our hosting platform and Google Workspace for email). These providers process information on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.

Your choices

You may request that we access, correct, or delete the information you've submitted through our website by emailing connect@steadyrisecounseling.com. We'll respond promptly.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses minimal cookies necessary for the site to function. We do not currently run third-party advertising or analytics trackers. If that changes, we'll update this policy.

Children's privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the site. Inquiries about therapy for minors should be made by a parent or legal guardian.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information submitted through our site, but no internet transmission is ever fully secure. Please do not send sensitive health information through the website's contact form.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page reflects when it was last revised.
